In June 2023, GFAMS was invited to give a two day seminar to induct leading academics on Gibraltar and Llanito at Cambridge University.

In June 2023, a GFAMS committee member won 1st prize in the Llanito short story competition category and another committee member was highly recommended.

In January 2024, two academics from Cambridge University came to Gibraltar and GFAMS gave them further insights into Llanito.

In June 2024, a GFAMS committee member won 1st prize in the Llanito short story competition.

In July 2024, 4 GFAMS committee members presented at the 2nd Gibraltar international Conference which was held at the University of Vigo in Galicia, Spain.

3 GFAMS committee members contributed to a book detailing Gibraltarians' life experiences with languages.
